"Sand Dune Fun" Reviewed 12 January 2014 Returning to Nelsons Bay for the second time in two weeks I decided to go quad biking again for the second time, first time around we went with quad bike kings and it seemed ok a little pricey though. Second time around we went with Sand Dune Adventures and had the best time and so much fun. The bikes are 400cc compared to 150cc and the price was only $85 which was cheaper than $110.The guides Scott & Aron on the tour are great at what they do and really know there stuff, everyone in the group was impressed. Sand Dune Adventures was really different to the other place as we actually enjoyed racing up and jumping off sand dunes. Next time I'm up there I’ll be definitely doing that again. “Amazing - and on Sydney's doorstep!!!” Reviewed 24 February 2014 Been quad biking in some very exotic places and true to type, had previously overlooked what's available locally. Went out last week and it was mind-blowing - the dunes are sensational, and because of traditional land ownership, these guys have the whole place available just for you… Not only do they have the biggest dunes and the most space to ride around, they also have the biggest bikes, so you can really give it a whirl (confidence and capability notwithstanding) The team strike a really good balance between having fun and safety - we were lucky enough to go out with Andrew (the head honcho) who has an amazing sense of humour and great timing to boot (won't spoil the joke, but it's a good one :-)) The whole experience is really schmick from checking in with Jo, hopping on the transfer with Steve and of course the main event - out on the dunes C'mon Sydney-siders (locals and visitors), get in the car and go and have some fun - this is undoubtedly one of the best quad bike experiences in the world (and I include the dunes in Namibia), and it's just up the road

“The most amazing thing you can do for fun!” Reviewed 28 December 2013 We did the 1 hour tour with my husband. It was the most amazing thing we ever did! Instructors were very friendly and attentive. I found that it was quite easy to drive those bikes for an absolute beginner. Bikes were very stable and big. It was such a great feeling riding your own bike in white desert, like in some HiFi movie on Mars... really :) In our group there were people who did same tour yesterday and returned to do it today again! Now I have a feeling I'll do it again too. There were lots of dunes of different height and you feel awesome, realising you can drive through anything of your way :) One of the final dunes was like 80 meters height and you drive down, feeling how your adrenaline level goes up :) This was AWESOME experience, I would highly recommend doing this again and again! :)

“A 'must do' for anyone visiting Port Stephens.” - Reviewed 24 February 2013 “Apprehension quickly gave way to sheer adrenalin as we rode up the sand hills and went down the steep descents in these two hours of fun and excitement. The guides from the Worimi people were wonderful. After ensuring that safety instructions were clearly understood, we were led out into an adventure tour up and over and around the sand hills that seem to stretch out forever. After about an hour of riding, we paused briefly to take in the scenery and learn about the cultural significance of the area, the history and the changing face of the landscape. Then it was back off charging around the sand dunes, playing a game of 'follow the leader', and diving head first down what seemed like near vertical drops. Our group varied in age from early twenties to mid-fifties, both male and female, and we all had a ball. I will definitely be returning to do it all again. If you are visiting the area, put this on your list of things to do. You won't be disappointed.”

"Kids had a ball" Reviewed 9 January 2014 My 4 kids and I went on a 1.5hr Hummer tour to beat the boredom of the school holidays. Our Tour driver Andrew was professional and friendly and customised the tour to suit the ages of my children 4,7,8,8 so that they got the fun and adventure of sand boarding and the dunes but also a brief informative talk on the history of the Sygna Wreck as well. We also had enough time to take some awesome pictures! I will definetly be coming back again!!!!!!

“Fantastic Adventure!” Reviewed 1 January 2014 I booked the 1.5 got tour for my boyfriends birthday and it was a winner! Neither of us had been on a quad bike before and the safety talk before we went was thorough and made me feel confident to ride. Andrew and Scott, our guides for the tour were fantastic - knowledgeable and passionate about the land we were biking on which got us excited too. The organisation is a not for profit so it was good to know out money would be put to good use. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour. Visited December 2013

“More than just a quad bike ride” Reviewed 19 December 2013 via mobile. Excellent all-round experience. I've done a couple in the area and this was by far the best! Higher dunes to ride down and an informative guide to the history of the area to top it off. Rich, 26 Visited December 2013

“Tim White” Reviewed 30 November 2013 This was my second visit to Sand Dune Adventures.. And this time was even better than the last. The guide was awesome - split the group up so that those of us who were confident got to do a lot more extreme riding! The bikes are really well kept and are awesome fun. Will definately be coming here again!
